Economic Development

Innovation and Entrepreneurship supports entrepreneurs and small business owners through the Invent Penn State initiative. Invent Penn State is a commonwealth-wide initiative that blends entrepreneurship-focused academic programs, business startup training and incubation, funding, and key regional partnerships for the benefit of Pennsylvania’s economy.

Penn State Commonwealth Campuses offer entrepreneurship and small business services through the LaunchBox initiative. The Brandywine LaunchBox seeks to connect local small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs with Penn State resources to facilitate business growth. The Brandywine LaunchBox is a designated American Express Small Business Neighborhood Champion and strongly advocates for the #shopsmall movement. LaunchBox programs will be held in residence at the Utility Works MakerSpace in Lansdowne, PA.
